Look for signs of wear and tear that suggest abnormal stress on the watch. The vintage watch’s strap or bracelet should still be in good enough condition that you can wear it without any additional servicing (although after you’ve purchased it you can always have it refurbished or replaced completely).
Be sure that the seller your eyeing has a fantastic reputation, that way you’ll be certain that your vintage watch is authentic. Verify everything before you buy by doing your research. If a particular model is difficult to authenticate, sending it to the manufacturer is always an option.
