Wedding Wednesday: Trendy Wedding Dresses from the Met Ball

Trendy Wedding Dresses

Straight from the Met Gala Red Carpet

Yesterday, we gave you our Top 10 Best Dressed list from the Met Gala 2012. While we were giddily perusing oodles of designer gowns and jewels, we kept getting distracted by stars wearing designer dresses that could double as glamorous, trendy wedding dresses. Given that we had to wait for Wedding Wednesday to share them with you, we tucked them safely away for "oo-ing" and "ahh-ing" this morning. Below are our favorite trendy wedding dresses plucked straight from the Met Ball red carpet.

Anna Wintour in Prada

Scarlett Johannsen in Dolce & Gabbana

We included Scarlett on yesterday's list and she made this one too! We love that she looks like she waltzed out of a fairy tale, the airy layers of tulle at the bottom of her mermaid gown, and he sweet but sexy off the shoulder neckline.

Camilla Belle in Ralph Lauren

Getty via Fashionista Camilla looks amazing in her Ralph Lauren metallic gown. We love that she's playing with the illusion necklines we saw at Bridal Market Spring 2013 and the Deco trend that the gown's pattern lends (not to mention the flapper friendly hair & plum lips). This look is already reception ready.

Vera Wang in her own design

Getty via Fashionista Is it any surprise that wedding gown designer extraordinaire Vera Wang's dress is perfectly suited for a walk down the aisle? We love the light blush tone, the shirring and draping at the hips, and the structured bodice. Plus the sheer overlay will make any bride feel like a princess.

Amy Adams in Giambattista Valli

Getty via Fashionista Amy Adams adds her signature sweetness to this gown with a gold metallic bow. We love the trend of pairing a skinny belt (or statement belt) with a bridal gown. Plus, the slash of black on her one shouldered silk dress keeps it from being too saccharine - adding a bit of color to your bridal look is another hot trend. Another look we're loving from Monday night is the Old Hollywood glamorous side swept curls. Like Jessica Alba, Hilary Swank, and a few other starlets, Amy keeps it classic and romantic with this 'do.

Ashley Greene in Donna Karan Atelier

The intricacy of the bodice is gorgeous and incredibly figure flattering. The crystal beading is elegant and sparkly, while the way the embellished fabric draped creates movement and the perfect hourglass shape. The layers of light white cloth and dripping beads are so dreamy, and her train is perfection. Would you wear any of these gorgeous gowns on your wedding day?
